I have a 30-gallon fish tank, populated with "semi-agressive" fish. Someone told me that I could put snails in to take care of the algae, but I put one in and my fish killed it. I don't want to put an algae eater in, since they get so HUGE (and are peaceful fish, unlike mine?)... so what other solutions do I have?
Should I just break down and get a small algae eater?
or would my fish kill it?

To be honest you really can't keep a tank totally algae free, but you can control it. Algae needs two things to grow, nitrates and light. By reducing these two things, you can reduce the algae. Larger and more frequent water changes will help control the nitrates. Adding pills online a few live plants will help alot as well, especially floating plants. Be very sure your not over feeding as this feeds algae in a big way.
Control the light by making sure your tank gets no direct sunlight and keeping the lights on only about 10 hours a day. Keeping the entire room darkened over night will help as well. Doing those things will bring the algae under control and keep it there.

I have a couple of fake plants in my fish tank. I notice they get quite dirty, easily. What would be the best, non-toxic product to clean them with? I've used soapy water and rinsed them but it still doesn't seem to clean online pharmacy without a prescription them up.

DON'T use soap. It will kill the fish. I would just get a better filter or rinse with warm/hot water.

I am getting 120 gallon aquarium with 3 sun catfish and 1 dino bichir. I wanted to get a oscar but I want more ideas. I want a fish that is carnivorous and likes to eat live foods ( such as goldfish, worms, minnows, ect.) Also I don't want a nocturnal fish. Also if you didn't know both fish get 12".
Thanks.

Don't cheap Ampicillin get ugly sun catfish!
If you have a tank that big get prettier fish!
Like a school of Cardinal Tetras, a zebra pleco, some ghost shrimp, guppies, balloon mollies, dwarf puffers, freshwater eels, and things like that!!
Or you can make it a blue crayfish tank and get like 5 blue crayfish, and put some minnows in there for them to snack on.
