cold water fish? wat to keep?

i want to keep coldwater fish in my aquarium and pond. but i dont want goldfish or koi because everyone says them. Buy Xenical cheap but koi are illegal in qld, australia and goldfish are boring. so if anone knows fish that are coldwater, could u tell me? any fish that is coldwater that is freshwater that i could keep. ill give 10 points to the best answer.
