Betta Fish Tank Maintenance?

I have one male betta. He is in a small tank that does Ampicillin Online not have a filter. I was wondering how often I need to clean the tank and how to do it. Do I just take the fish out and totally clean it out or do I leave the fish in and just take out the majority of the water and put in clean water? In the past I just took the fish out. Also, what is the best kind of food and should I get a tank light for the tank.

It's recommended you change half the water every few days, but Bettas are hardy fish. If you want to wait a week and then change all the water, you can do that.

I feed my Bettas Tetra BettaMin Tropical Medly (yellow container with Betta on front and has small red flakes inside). I give my fish 5-10 flakes every other day.

I don't have a light for my containers. With small containers like that, I feel like a light would be the equivalent of the noonday sun shining right on them all day long.
